For four decades, Ventrolla have been heritage window specialists – renovating, repairing, draught-proofing and replacing wooden sash and casement windows. Our name is a slightly quirky portmanteau of ‘Ventilation Control’, which was the company’s focus right back at the beginning. But where did the concept behind Ventrolla actually come from?
The founder of Ventrolla, Robert Tunicliffe, was a former engineer with Ford Motors. Experienced in developing specialised gaskets and seals, he drew on this background to create draught-proofing for his own sash windows. He established Ventrolla in 1983 and it was from this point that our innovative Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS) evolved. The rest, as they say, is history!
Our dedication to innovation has never stopped since. As a business with an engineering heritage, we’re continually investing in the best machinery, technology, and software – it’s this that has enabled us to remain at the top of the UK’s timber window renovation industry for over 40 years.
Our recognised industry-leading experts practice authentic craftsmanship, that’s true to the historical-importance of many of the windows we work on. And all this is backed by next-generation technologies, that guarantee compliance, safety, on-schedule delivery, and effective cost-management across all projects.
All this is supported by our research and development department, where we continue to lead the market with unique products and services tailored to discerning homeowners, architects and property developers. An integral part of our thriving workshop, our determined R&D team trial and and test new product enhancements and developments, to help us understand and accommodate evolving needs of our domestic and commercial customers.
