Ventrolla has successfully completed its third consecutive project at a primary school in Sherwood Rise, Nottingham.
The Midlands office of the window renovation specialist carried out work on 14 windows at Claremont Primary and Nursery School.
Work on the Grade II listed building was completed in just four weeks during the holiday period in order to reduce disruption to classes. Ventrolla found that, upon inspection, the woodwork in the windows was sound but the ageing ironwork needed restoring.
Many of the upper pivots had to have their metal cranking systems removed. Ventrolla then repaired or replaced any broken parts and reassembled the units in accordance with their original specifications. Carol Tymon, Bursar at Claremont Primary, said:
“We have worked with Ventrolla a number of times now, following a recommendation by a school Governor whose own property underwent the Ventrolla treatment. The work on the windows was part of a much larger project at the school which is being phased over a number of years. We hope to carry on with the next phase of window refurbishment next year.”
Claremont Primary and Nursery School was built in 1885 and currently has over 350 pupils enrolled at both nursery and primary levels.
Ventrolla’s central office is based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, with offices throughout the UK and Ireland, and offers a bespoke renovation service for timber sliding sash and casement windows.
Its unique Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS) improves a window’s performance and energy efficiency.
