On the day of her window works, the sash windows underwent extensive renovation, including tenon joint repairs, replacement wooden window sills and the installation of the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS) – a discreet draught-proofing system that works to eliminate draughts, rattles, leaks and dust – all common problems found in period sash windows.

In addition, all sashes were re-hung, with the weights adjusted and pulleys serviced – meaning they operated smoothly again, as they should
